Kevin Keller, Gay Archie Character, Gets Married In January Issue (PHOTO)

The highly-anticipated gay wedding issue of Archie Comics has finally been revealed.
The January issue's cover illustration shows Kevin Keller, Riverdale's first openly gay character who is also an active U.S. military officer, tying the knot with his African-American partner, Clay Walker. ComicsAlliance reported in October that the story of the couple's meeting, said to take place in a military hospital, "obviously deals with ['Don't Ask, Don't Tell'] but it doesn't spell it out for the reader," and may be revealed in flashback, according to Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater.
When the miniseries was announced in 2010, author Dan Parent told the Associated Press, "The world of Riverdale has to reflect contemporary culture and to show it is an accepting, diverse place. And that's why Kevin is important, to show that everybody is welcome in this all-American town we've embraced for over 70 years." Parent was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for creating the character.
Not surprisingly, the introduction of the fictional character, in addition to his marriage, has drawn both strong praise and harsh criticism. “I think it’s great that the reality of America’s loving couples are being portrayed in as many places as possible,” Evan Wolfson, the founder and president of Freedom to Marry, told Fox News.“We all want to be part of family and community –- that’s what marriage is about." On the other hand, the Family Research Council's Peter Spriggs noted, "It's unfortunate that a comic book series usually seen as depicting innocent, all-American life is now being used to advance the sexual revolution."

Fish are now captured walking on land!

We though this was interesting.

Check out this video of an octopus literally crawling out of the water and dragging itself across dry land in pursuit of a meal. A family with a camera was lucky enough to be on the scene and captured the whole thing on video:

If you're curious to learn more about the sea creature's possible motivation, there has been some great research on the understanding of octopus intelligence recently, including this surprisingly moving article in Orion magazine, chronicling a researchers bond with a giant Pacific octopus named Athena.
As it turns out, walking on land in the octopus kingdom is not as unique as you might think:
Some would let themselves be captured, only to use the net as a trampoline. They'd leap off the mesh and onto the floor—and then run for it. Yes, run. "You'd chase them under the tank, back and forth, like you were chasing a cat," [Middlebury College researcher Alexa] Warburton said. "It's so weird!"
Octopuses in captivity actually escape their watery enclosures with alarming frequency. While on the move, they have been discovered on carpets, along bookshelves, in a teapot, and inside the aquarium tanks of other fish—upon whom they have usually been dining.
However, it's quite unusual to capture video of a walking octopus in action. Part of the reason that studies on the creatures have been so limited, aside from their brief three-year life spans, is that they are notoriously shy, usually avoiding contact not only with humans, but with any other creatures, including fellow octopi.

YOU THINK TRAVELING ON THE METRO IS EASY?

Try doing it in a wheel chair.  The Gay Community is a broad group, and it includes disabled people.  Carlos Mitchell is a 36-year-old gay disabled man.  He spent a day with BBINT Magazine and shared some of his experiences getting around in Los Angeles.

Says Carlos, " In West Hollywood, there are still a lot of  gay-owned & operated businesses that are still not accessible to people in chairs or who need ramps.  If they were all accessible, I’d be there a lot more."

Watch for the exclusive interview coming soon in BBINT Magazine.

Somebody Say SOMETHING!!! Federal case coming against Sandusky?

Federal prosecutors and FBI agents in Pennsylvania are looking into opening a federal investigation into accused child molester Jerry Sandusky, NBC News reported Friday.
According to the report, a senior law enforcement official said investigators are "looking hard" at the possibility of opening their own investigation in light of allegations that the former Penn State assistant football coach committed abuse outside state lines.
"It would be inconceivable that we couldn't find grounds" to make this a federal case, the official told NBC News.
Sandusky, 67, is accused in a 40-count indictment of sexually abusing eight boys over a period of 15 years. He denies the charges.
According to the 23-page grand jury presentment, one of Sandusky's alleged victims — referred to as "Victim 4" — testified to being "repeatedly subjected to Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse and Indecent Assault" at various locations, including Penn State bowl games in Florida and Texas during the 1998 and 1999 seasons.
Victim 4 testified he traveled to the 1998 Outback Bowl in Tampa and the 1999 Alamo Bowl in San Antonio as a guest of the football team, its coaching staff and their family members.
Police in San Antonio announced last week they were investigating the possibility of building a criminal case against Sandusky over the alleged offenses in Texas.
According to NBC's report, federal investigators are also examining New York-based children's charity Fresh Air Fund after it confirmed Wednesday that Sandusky hosted as many as six kids dating back to the 1970s in conjunction with the out-of-state organization.
Prosecutors and agents will also review Sandusky's use of the internet to determine if he violated federal laws by communicating or possibly recruiting alleged victims online, NBC reported.
The US Department of Education announced last week it would launch its own investigation into whether Penn State violated federal law by failing to report allegations of sexual abuse on campus.
