The new Pacific Design Center Red Building will complement the existing green and blue buildings. The building is currently under construction. The building was designed by César Pelli, one of the most famous architects in the world. He also designed the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia and the World Financial in New York City.

The Pacific Design Center is across the street from the new 333 car public parking structure and the new West Hollywood Library. And right across the street is the 1.5 mile walkable strip of Santa Monica Blvd. with 21 Gay Bars, 26 Gay Shops, and 69 Gay Friendly Restaurants of Gay West Hollywood.

The Blue building was completed in 1975 and is 750,000 square feet. The Green building was completed in 1988 and is 450,000 square feet. The Red building will be complete in 2012, and is 400,000 square feet.

The Pacific Design Center is the centerpiece of Gay West Hollywood housing 130 showrooms of high end designer furniture, fabrics, and wall and floor coverings. Shops are open to the trade only, but the public can wander through the building, peek in windows at the amazing array of high-end goods, and occasionally attend classes or special sales.
